Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosts the Second Pharmacist Conference in Arena Complex
The Pharmacists Association held yesterday in Al-Ahliyya Amman University the Second Pharmacist Student Conference for fifth and sixth year students of the faculties of Pharmacy in Jordanian universities, majoring in Pharmacy and Doctor of Pharmacy, under the title “Building the Profession and Creating Future”. Chairman of Pharmacists Association, Dr. Mohammed Abbabaneh, said that the Association is keen to hold conferences and scientific days periodically based on its sense of responsibility towards society and pharmacists. We constantly face a gap between reality and ambition in terms of the practice of the profession, he added. This creates additional burdens for pharmacists and poses the challenge of reconciling the daily practice of the profession and its ethics. Nonetheless, pharmacists have a major role and assume professional and legal responsibilities. For his part, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Sadeq Hamed, said that meetings are held with professionals, academics, students and professors to stress the need for integration to improve an indispensible profession in all societies, a profession that touches all segments of society, which makes it of high importance. At the end of the opening ceremony, which was attended by a number of the Association members, deans of Faculties of Pharmacy in Jordanian universities, the Chairman of the Pharmacists Association handed the Association shield to Al-Ahliyya Amman University and to the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University, Dr. Ghaleb Ereqat.
