Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosts experts from Qiagen Company

Within the activities of the Social Committee for Students and the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences and Basic Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted the expert Mr. Asem Al-Natour, Sales Director at Qiagen Company on Thursday 3/11/2022.Mr. Asem discussed during this lecture the recent updates and developments on the study of molecular biology in general and Digital Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) in specific in the presence of faculty members, postgraduates and undergraduates specializing in this field. This lecture was organized by Dr. Talal Al-Qaisi, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs who as well introduced Qiagen Company, a leading company operating in more than 25 countries, providing expertise and services to a huge segment of clients, in the areas of toolkits, consumption testing and molecular bioinformatics.From her side, Dr. Zeenah Al-Alami, an associate professor in Medical Laboratory Sciences noted that this lecture comes within a series of lectures to share knowledge and expertise, in which is supervised by Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences to coordinate scientific lectures and host scientists and lecturers from international universities and scientific medical institutes to expand the horizons of scientific research among faculty members and postgraduate students at the faculty as well as to enhance research cooperation between local and international scientific institutes.
