Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Faculty of Pharmacy, organizes lecture on smoking harms

Within the scientific activities held at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a lecture entitled “The impact of cigarettes and water pipes on the circulation and respiratory systems of mammals”. The lecture was held in the presence of faculty members at the University and was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ziad Shraideh. The negative effects of smoking on the lungs, tissues and cells were addressed in the lecture. Practical scientific experiments were presented which demonstrate the effect of smoking and water pipe on the body structure and its negative impact on blood cells, and the body's immunity. At the end of the seminar, questions were raised by faculty members and were answered by Prof. Dr. Ziad Shraideh.
