Al-Ahliyya Amman University Develops a Digital Dashboard for Real-Time Water Consumption and Reuse Monitoring in Collaboration with the Hourani Center for E-Learning

As part of its ongoing efforts to advance digital transformation and enhance water resource management efficiency, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, through the Sustainability and International Ranking Center and in collaboration with the Hourani Center for E-Learning, has developed an advanced digital dashboard for monitoring and visualizing water consumption and reuse data across the campus. The dashboard integrates real-time data from smart water meters installed in academic and administrative buildings, enabling continuous tracking of water reuse volumes. The platform also allows for trend analysis, consumption pattern monitoring, and early detection of irregularities that may indicate leaks or abnormal usage. This system significantly strengthens data-driven decision-making and supports institutional planning aimed at improving water efficiency and reducing waste. The University administration emphasized that this project reflects AAU’s commitment to digital innovation and smart resource management. It also aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by promoting effective governance and the use of modern technologies to enhance water sustainability across campus.
