Al-Ahliyya Amman University Conducts Quarterly Laboratory Validation to Ensure the Safety and Quality of Reused Water

As part of its commitment to applying the highest standards of water safety and quality, Al-Ahliyya Amman University continues to implement its Periodic Laboratory Validation Program for Reused Water, supervised by the Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research Center (PDRC). The center conducts quarterly chemical and microbiological testing on samples of reused water across campus to ensure their safety and compliance with legally approved reuse standards. These tests evaluate chemical properties, microbial content, and all required safety indicators for environmentally permissible uses. This program forms a key component of the university’s quality control system, as continuous validation enhances the reliability of measured reused water volumes and ensures full adherence to health and environmental regulations. The University administration emphasized that this initiative reflects AAU’s commitment to strong water governance and aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by ensuring consistent, science-based monitoring of water quality.
