Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Queen’s University Belfast Receive British Council Funding

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in partnership with the UK’s Queen’s University Belfast, has secured funding through the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships – TNE Exploratory Grants. The funding will support the development of an integrated academic pathway in Digital Construction and Building Information Modelling (BIM), aligned with Pearson standards. The project is led by Dr. Fares Al-Ghayesh and Dr. Stefan McElwain from Queen’s University Belfast, while Al-Ahliyya Amman University is represented by Dr. Sandra Matarneh and Dr. Fayrouz Abu Sweilem, Director of the Global Engagement Center. The project brings together specialized academic expertise from both universities to develop the proposed academic pathway and enhance its educational outcomes. The project aims to develop an academic framework linking technical diploma-level education in Jordan with opportunities for further academic study at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This will provide students with clear pathways to specialized academic programs, including the BEng Civil Engineering and MSc Applied Digital Construction Management programs at Queen’s University Belfast.
