AAU Wins Title at Jordanian Universities Taekwondo Championship for Students

AAU secured the title at the Jordanian Universities Taekwondo Championship for students, concluding its participation in the tournament organized by the Jordanian Universities Sports Federation in cooperation with the Jordanian Taekwondo Federation at Al-Zaytoonah University during the period of May 5-6, 2024. The men's team from AAU won the championship title by earning five medals: two gold medals won by Yazan Bassam Mahmoud in the under-68 kg weight category and Bahaa Eldin Ibrahim Abu Hudheib in the under-80 kg weight category, along with three bronze medals won by Saif Eldin Mohammed Arab in the under-63 kg weight category, Mohammed Salah Eldin Abu El-Einen in the under-74 kg weight category, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Shaalan in the under-87 kg weight category. Meanwhile, the women's team ranked fifth overall, earning three medals: a gold medal for Jude Mohammed Abu El-Dahab in the under-53 kg weight category, and two silver medals for Hiba Allah Mashlab Al-Issa in the under-67 kg weight category and Ronita Marwan Abu Roman in the over-73 kg weight category. These successive achievements for our AAU reflect the continuous support provided by the university to its student-athletes, represented by Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Sari Hamdan, our President, and Dr. Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, Dean of Student Affairs, with direct supervision by the university's sports activities supervisors, Mr. Suhaib Al-Tarawneh and Ms. Areen Qutishat.
