Al-Ahliyya Amman University Signs a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport During Its Participation in the Business and International Cooperation Council in Egypt
Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the activities of the Business and International Cooperation Advisory Council, organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) at its branch in New Alamein City, Egypt, under the theme “International Partnerships Towards a More Connected Future.” The event brought together university presidents, representatives of international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, and leaders from the business sector.
The University was represented by its President, Professor Sari Hamdan, who took part in discussions and dialogue sessions addressing the enhancement of international partnerships, the development of human capital, the promotion of innovation, and the alignment of higher education outcomes with the needs of the economy and labor market.
The Council was attended by Professor Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport; Professor Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University; Mr. Omar Radwan, Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange; Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the New Alamein City Authority; in addition to a number of ambassadors, consuls, and representatives of international academic and economic institutions.
On the sidelines of the Council’s activities, Professor Sari Hamdan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The agreement was signed on behalf of the Academy by Professor Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag and aims to strengthen academic, scientific, and research cooperation between the two institutions.
The memorandum includes collaboration in the areas of joint scientific research, student and faculty exchange, academic program development, and the implementation of training and professional development programs. It also supports international initiatives and joint projects that contribute to promoting innovation and academic excellence.
Professor Sari Hamdan emphasized that the University’s participation reflects its commitment to expanding its network of Arab and international partnerships and benefiting from global academic expertise. He noted that such collaborations positively impact students, researchers, and faculty members while contributing to the continuous development of the University’s educational and research environment.
At the conclusion of the forum, Professor Sari Hamdan presented the Al-Ahliyya Amman University Shield to Professor Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He also honored Dr. Alaa Al-Zyoud, representative of the Jordanian Ambassador in Cairo, in recognition of their efforts in supporting academic cooperation and strengthening educational partnerships.
