AAU Technical Education Organizes Field Visit for Automotive Engineering Students and Conducts Guidance Seminars for Vocational School Students in Salt
As part of its commitment to strengthening the integration between academic learning and practical application, and within its ongoing efforts to build partnerships with the industrial sector and meet Pearson BTEC requirements, the Faculty of Technical Education at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a field visit for Automotive Engineering students to Al-Bustami Motors Company. The visit aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world professional practice.
The visit was prepared and coordinated by Engineer Saif Al-Bustangi and supervised by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Mr. Anas Al-Dhahir, with the support of faculty members from the department. This initiative reflects the faculty’s dedication to providing students with a comprehensive hands-on educational experience.
During the visit, students explored the work environment within specialized maintenance workshops, where they became acquainted with operational procedures and modern techniques used in vehicle maintenance. They also observed fault diagnosis and repair processes conducted according to advanced professional standards.
In addition, students were introduced to occupational safety standards and risk assessment procedures implemented within the workshops, as well as the importance of adhering to these measures to ensure a safe working environment. The visit also highlighted sustainability practices and the recycling of waste generated through maintenance operations.
The visit provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with industry specialists and gain insight into the latest professional practices, contributing to the enhancement of their practical skills and technical expertise. This initiative comes as part of the Faculty of Technical Education’s efforts at Al-Ahliyya Amman University to strengthen collaboration with the industrial sector and equip students with the practical competencies required for successful integration into the labor market.
In another initiative, the faculty participated in delivering a series of introductory and guidance seminars for vocational secondary school students as part of the “Training for Employment” program, in cooperation with the Salt Directorate of Education. This initiative aligns with the faculty’s ongoing efforts to support technical education and raise awareness of future-oriented specializations that meet labor market demands.
The participation included the delivery of six specialized seminars in the fields of Information Technology, Electric Vehicle Technology, and Electrical Engineering. The seminars targeted several vocational schools for male and female students and were presented by Engineer Rawan Al-Majdoubeh, Engineer Saif Al-Bustangi, Engineer Rashid Abu Hammour, Engineer Marwa Tahaina, Instructor Moatasem Al-Tamimi, and Instructor Moataz Mkhatreh, under the supervision of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Head of the Preparatory Materials Department, Mr. Anas Al-Dhahir.
The seminars aimed to introduce students to modern technical disciplines and emphasize their significance, while also highlighting future career opportunities associated with these fields. In addition, the sessions showcased the academic and professional pathways offered by the faculty, helping students make informed decisions regarding specializations aligned with labor market needs.
