AAU’s Faculty of Nursing Participates in Annual Charity Campaign

As part of its community engagement and continuous efforts to support Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s mission in serving the local community, the Faculty of Nursing, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, participated in the university’s annual charity campaign “A Gesture of Goodness in the Month of Goodness” during the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign aimed to support orphaned children in Al-Balqa Governorate. Over the course of three days, faculty members, administrative staff, and students—led by Professor Dr. Khuldoon Hamdan—distributed gifts, sweets, balloons, and aid to the children in a warm and giving atmosphere. More than 400 orphaned children benefited from this heartfelt initiative. This campaign is part of a series of volunteer activities regularly organized by the Faculty of Nursing to promote humanitarian values and foster a spirit of social solidarity among students and the community. Participants from both the academic and administrative bodies, along with the students, emphasized the importance of such events in bringing joy to children's hearts and in highlighting the role of nursing not only in healthcare but also in community service. The university administration expressed its pride in the active involvement of its students in charitable activities and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to community development and strengthen humanitarian awareness among youth.
