AAU’s Faculty of Agricultural Technology Hosts Experts in Olive Oil Sensory Evaluation
As part of its ongoing scientific activities, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted experts in the field of sensory evaluation of olive oil. The meeting, led by Dr. Sobhiya Saifan, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, aimed to strengthen scientific collaboration in agricultural technology, particularly in improving the quality of olive oil. The evaluation process was conducted by Dr. Murad Al-Maaita, Deputy Dean for Accreditation and Quality Affairs.
The meeting included a sensory evaluation of premium extra virgin Jordanian olive oil. The experts demonstrated the sensory evaluation process and its scientific importance in classifying olive oil.
The experts praised the efforts of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in providing the global, regional, and local markets with skilled agricultural engineers through its educational process and scientific approach. The faculty’s commitment to keeping pace with developments in agricultural technology was also acknowledged. The experts expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to exchange scientific views on olive oil technology and emphasized the prominent role the faculty plays in this field.
