AAU Participates in International Leadership Excellence Workshop for Accredited Nursing Programs
Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by Professor Khaldoun Hamdan, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, participated in the Leadership Excellence for Accredited Programs (LEAP) workshop organized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) in Atlanta, United States.
The university’s participation reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of academic education and advancing nursing programs in accordance with the latest international standards in education and academic accreditation. The workshop aimed to develop leadership skills in accredited nursing programs.
The interactive workshop covered several key topics, including leadership roles and responsibilities in managing accredited academic programs, mechanisms for implementing accreditation policies and maintaining accreditation status, and effective preparation for site visits. Participants were also introduced to the latest updates regarding international accreditation standards established by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), in addition to the resources and services provided by the commission to support academic institutions.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for networking and exchanging expertise with a distinguished group of academic leaders and representatives of nursing faculties from universities and educational institutions around the world, contributing to the strengthening of academic cooperation and the advancement of educational and leadership practices in the nursing sector.
