AAU Organizes a Workshop on Patents and Intellectual Property Protection

Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by the Business Incubator, organized a specialized workshop titled “Your Comprehensive Guide to Patents and Intellectual Property Protection,” aimed at raising awareness among faculty members and researchers about the importance of protecting innovations and intellectual rights. Ms. Maysa Al-Sabaa, Head of the Patents Department; Engineer Darwish Abu Qudum, Patent Technical Examiner; and Mr. Saed Shobaki, presented the workshop from the Technology and Innovation Support Centers Unit. They reviewed the legal and technical aspects related to patent registration, protection mechanisms available to inventors, and introduced the role of technology support centers in facilitating researchers’ access to knowledge sources and international registration. The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Scientific Research Deanship, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abu Arabi; the Director of the Business Incubator, Ms. Raya Al-Sharif; and several faculty members from various faculties. The workshop included interactive discussions and various inquiries from the attendees, reflecting a growing interest in the field of intellectual property and academic innovation.
