AAU Organizes a Workshop on Blockchain in Collaboration with the Cybersecurity Center at the Association of Arab Universities
The Cybersecurity Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Center at the Association of Arab Universities and in partnership with a number of local and international academic and industrial institutions, organized a specialized workshop entitled:
"Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Machine Learning: Strategic Synergies"
The event took place from May 14–15, 2025, at the Mövenpick Hotel – Amman.
This workshop was part of the university’s strategic vision aimed at reinforcing modern technological concepts and keeping pace with the rapid transformations in the digital job market. It focused on exploring the synergies between blockchain technologies, cybersecurity, and machine learning, and their role in addressing the growing challenges in the global digital environment.
Held under the patronage of Professor Sari Hamdan, President of the University, the workshop witnessed broad participation from representatives of local and international universities, as well as a distinguished group of specialists and experts from leading industrial and technological institutions.
The workshop opened with a welcome speech delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Qatawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at the university. In his remarks, he welcomed participants from various sectors, emphasizing the importance of such events in fostering the exchange of expertise and experiences and building bridges of cooperation between the academic and industrial sectors.
The workshop was organized and managed by:

The sessions were moderated by Prof. Dr. Abdulrahman Hussein and Dr. Ahmad Al-Shamayleh, and featured a series of specialized lectures and discussions delivered by a select group of academics and experts, including:

At the conclusion of the workshop, several supporting institutions and outstanding participants were honored with commemorative shields in appreciation of their valuable contributions to the success of this specialized scientific event.
