AAU Launches Ramadan Charity Campaigns to Support the Local Community in Balqa Governorate
In line with its pioneering role in serving the local community and its belief in the importance of social solidarity, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has launched its annual Ramadan charity campaigns under the theme “A Touch of Kindness in the Month of Goodness” in Balqa Governorate. These initiatives are held under the patronage and guidance of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Professor Sari Hamdan, University President.
The campaign, overseen by the Higher Committee for Activities and Community Service in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, includes the distribution of food parcels to underprivileged families within the governorate. It is carried out in partnership with various local organizations, community sectors, and charitable societies. Additionally, the campaign organizes Iftar meals and provides Eid clothing for orphans, with active participation from university students across all faculties.
Professor Mustafa Al-Atiyyat, Dean of Student Affairs and Chair of the Higher Committee for Activities and Community Service, emphasized the significance of these campaigns in fostering awareness and deepening students’ sense of social responsibility. He highlighted how such initiatives enhance active citizenship and encourage students to extend support to those in need. Professor Mustafa Al-Atiyyat also noted the university’s strong commitment to community service and its dedication to participating in various social initiatives and events.
These campaigns and initiatives reflect Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s ongoing efforts to serve the local community as a key contributor to sustainable development. They also aim to build a more cohesive and compassionate society. The university affirms its commitment to continuing its support for underprivileged families in collaboration with partners and charitable organizations, striving to create a better future for all.
