AAU Holds A Workshop Titled “Signs & Symptoms of Drug Addiction”

As part of the series of awareness lectures which AAU holds, the Faculty of Pharmacy & Medical Sciences organized a lecture titled “Signs & Symptoms of Drug Addiction”. The lecture was delivered by Captain Hussein Al-Manaseer, from the Anti-Narcotics Department.In this lecture, Captain Al-Manaseer dealt with symptoms of drug addiction, types of the most common drugs in the region, indicated its components and warned of its dangers to the physical and psychological health of the abuser. Then, he talked in detail about the addiction treatment centers in Jordan and explained the mechanism of treatment and follow-up to the recovered individuals. At the end of the lecture, he talked about the penalty of drug dealing or promotion or abuse. This lecture was supervised by Dr. Mayada Al-Wathaefi, Dr. Hasan Al-Mu’ti and pharmacist May Al-Hawamdeh.
