AAU Health Training Center Organizes a Workshop on Electrocardiography
In line with its commitment to serving the local community and fostering collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing and the Saudi Cultural Mission regarding health education and addressing the healthcare needs of Saudi students residing in Jordan, the AAU Health Training Center conducted a free training workshop titled Electrocardiography on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
The workshop, presented by Professor Khaldoun Hamdan, took place in Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. It was attended by numerous Saudi students from various public and private universities in Jordan.
At the beginning of the event, Professor Khaldoun Hamdan, Director of the Center, welcomed Ms. Reem Al-Barhoumi, Director of Cultural and Media Affairs at the Saudi Cultural Mission. In her speech, Ms. Al-Barhoumi expressed her gratitude to Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, for this initiative, emphasizing the supportive collaboration and facilitation extended by the university to the Mission, which enhances the academic and professional skills of students.
The workshop covered several key topics, including:
• How to interpret electrocardiograms (ECG) and identify pathological changes.
• Normal ECG waves.
• The electrical activity of the heart.
The training aimed to equip participants with skills to recognize ECG readings and enhance diagnostic capabilities based on ECG interpretations.
Participants will also receive officially certified attendance certificates issued by the AAU Health Training Center.
