AAU Achieves British ASIC Accreditation for English Language Programs at the Highest Level
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences- Department of English at Al-Ahliyya Amman University has achieved a distinguished academic milestone, with its Bachelor’s programs in English Language & Literature and English Language & Translation receiving British ASIC accreditation at the highest level, classified as “Exceptional”.
Achieving the Exceptional level for the second consecutive time serves as an international affirmation of the programs’ quality, the excellence of learning outcomes, the effectiveness of the educational environment, and the institution’s commitment to the highest standards of academic governance and continuous improvement.
This accomplishment reflects systematic efforts to update curricula, integrate advanced educational technologies, and enhance the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, reinforcing the faculty’s position as a leading academic environment both regionally and internationally.
The accreditation aligns with the university’s strategic plan to strengthen its position in global rankings, expand international program accreditations, consolidate its global presence, and enhance the competitiveness of its graduates in the international labor market.
Professor Dr. Linda Al-Khawaja, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, emphasized that attaining the Exceptional level reflects the university’s strong commitment to a culture of quality and innovation and embodies its ambitious institutional vision toward global academic leadership.
