In a new achievement that enhances the standing of Jordanian higher education on the regional stage, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has made a significant leap by securing the 28th position in the Times Higher Education (THE) Arab University Ranking for 2024. This reflects the university’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, scientific research, and continuous development. This major accomplishment is the result of a strategic vision and continuous efforts led by our university’s President, Professor Sari Hamdan, and supported by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani. The university has focused on developing its educational infrastructure, enhancing its research standing, and aligning its educational outputs with the demands of the labor market. The Times Higher Education Arab ranking is based on precise criteria, including the quality of education and scientific research, the university’s impact on the local and regional community, internationalization, and the provision of job opportunities for graduates. This has allowed the university to outperform many academic institutions in the region and demonstrate its ability to compete both regionally and globally. Since its establishment, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has placed quality education at the core of its mission and, over the years, has set a model for higher education in Jordan and the region. This new achievement represents an important step for the university toward becoming one of the leading universities internationally. AAU reaffirms that success and leadership are the result of collective commitment and sincere efforts from all members of its academic community—faculty members, administrators, and students—ensuring that its name remains synonymous with quality and excellence in higher education.
