A scientific trip for students of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

As part of the activities organized by the Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Ahliyya Amman University for the academic year 2021/2022, the faculty organized a scientific trip on Thursday, March 31st, 2022, for students of the Department of Agricultural Technology and Genetic Engineering in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Professor Dr. Rida Shibli and Dr. Sobhia Sa'ifan, Head of The Department of Agricultural Technology and Genetic Engineering.The trip began with a visit to Baladna dairy factory, where the production manager presented a documentary video on hands-free dairy manufacturing in all its forms, and the students of the faculty toured the factory and learned about the methods of automated manufacturing. According to the program of the trip, the students visited the plant tissue laboratory and were briefed on tissue plantation and how to create the right environment. Participants also toured the laboratory, learned about the technique of tissue-infestation of plants, transporting them to plastic houses and then moving them to the permanent habitat.The scientific trip program also included visiting a model farm in the Jerash area, where irrigated crops were identified by drip, visiting plastic houses, seeing vegetable crops (such as cucumbers and tomatoes) and plants suitable for apple fruits, Amygdalus and citrus fruits. The students were impressed by the itinerary of the trip, which increased their enthusiasm towards their specialty of studies.
