A Delegation of the AAU Students Participate in the Scientific Forum “Development of Child’s Abilities”

An AAU delegation participated in the Scientific Forum which the ‘Learning Together for Special Education’ Center held in the Jerusalem International Hotel on Saturday, 4/11/2017. The delegation included Dr. Anan Abu Mariam from the Department of Psychology and Special Education, Dr. Basem Mere’ from the Department of Hearing and Speech and a group of students from the Departments of Hearing &Speech and Special Education as well as students from other specializations. During the Forum, a group of medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory specialists presented a set of scientific papers specialized in medical procedures of measuring and diagnosing autism spectrum disorder. The Technical Director of the ‘Learning Together’ Center praised the AAU’s active and remarkable role in the Forum through the delegation's effective participation in asking opinions and discussing them and in analyzing the reality and the real practice and finding solutions for them. The Forum concluded with recommendations that call for raising the specialists’ awareness of the medical diagnostic procedures for Autism Spectrum Disorder and for the study of the effectiveness and necessity of some laboratory procedures.
