Zorba, Surour, Hijazi and Al-Omary in a Comic Purposeful Dialogue at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Theatre

Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted the activities of the first show for the “offline” project on Sunday, 5/3/2017 in the Nizar Qabani theatre. This project aims to open a dialogue about a number of issues that concern young people with a number of young men who have their influence in society and social media such as Ahmad Surour, Oday Hijazi, Muaz Al-Omary and Omar Zorba.The President of the University, Prof. Sadeq Hamed, a number of deans and a large number of the University students attended this event. The dialogue was spontaneous and depended on daily news in electronic newspapers. It also discussed different perspectives on educational issues such as developing the educational process and issues of concern relevant to curricula, young peoples’ problems, community violence, extremism and ways of purposeful dialogue. Al-Ahliyya Amman University is considered the first in hosting this project because of its firm belief in the importance of developing the educational system which begins with modernizing the curricula, training instructors, developing the learning methods, stimulating parents and students to facilitate the development process along with renouncing violence and extremism. During the show, students interacted with short scenes along with the videos which social media circulated.
