“Your Voice Counts” Workshop in Al-Ahliyya Amman University
The Supreme Council for Youth of the Directorate of Youth Balqa Governorate hosted a workshop entitled “Your Voice Counts” in Al-Ahliyya Amman University on the role of young people in the electoral process and the success of democracy. Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Mubaideen, addressed the importance of the youth role in participating in the elections, electing their representatives based on competence, and electing efficient parliament members to create an effective parliament that is based on strong parliamentary constituents that assumes responsibility for the current conditions by paying attention to young people and convincing them of the actual programs. This will improve the economic and political situation, he added. The Dean of Student Affairs confirmed that Jordan s new future will be in the hands of young people because they represent intellectual, political, and social pluralism through participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections. At the end of the meeting, which was attended by HE Director of Youth Balqa Governorate, Mr. Ibrahim Hoyan, space for dialogue and debate was opened during which the questions and concerns of students were addressed.
