Workshop on Renewing the professional practice for health workers at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The Department of Cosmetic Science at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences/ Al-Ahliyya Amman University held a workshop entitled (Renewing the professional work permits for workers in the fields of health and continuous professional development) on Monday, 27-12-2021, under the supervision of Dr. Maha Abu Hajla - Head of the Department of Cosmetic Science - in the presence of faculty members and students of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and Faculty of Pharmacy. Ms. Shorouk Jibril / Head of the Continuing Professional Development Unit of the Higher Health Council gave a lecture and emphasized the role of the Council in preparing a public policy for the health sector in the Kingdom, and in organizing and developing health work in all sectors for the purpose of expanding health services for all citizens. She also outlined the system of renewing work permits for medical and health professionals and the instructions for continuous professional development. These events confirm the role of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in the cooperation between the public and private sectors. Al-Ahliyya Amman University is one of the first universities in Jordan to host the Higher Health Council aiming to educate teachers and students on the procedures to be followed when renewing professional work permits, which takes place every five years upon completing credit hours for continuous professional development.
