Women Health Center of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Holds its First Meeting with UNFPA

The University's Women Health Center held a meeting with UNFPA in Jordan to discuss joint cooperation and achieve the objectives of the Center's strategic plan to build partnerships at the local, regional and global levels to support women health issues, where the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and the President of the Center's Advisory Board, Dr. Montaha Gharaibeh, outlined the center's objectives and its departments while conveying the focus of the center's strategic plan to provide health, social and financial privileges for women. On her part, Dr. Rana Abu Hwaij, Director of the University's Women Health Center, stressed on the importance of connecting and networking with partners to share experiences and propose interventions and activities according to women's general needs to improve their health and overcome the obstacles that might face the implementation of the proposed activities.UNFPA Office Director Ms. Inshirah Ahmed praised the partnership with academic institutions, which has started with a few public universities in Jordan through certain programs such as the Youth Program and the provision of a youth-friendly clinic, and she suggested steps to be taken for the Women Health Center to become a privileged center that is directly incorporated with UNFPA.
