Vice President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Visits the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland to Explore Academic Cooperation
As part of Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s efforts to strengthen its international academic partnerships and exchange expertise with leading global educational institutions, Professor Ahmad Hamdan, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, visited the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and its affiliated medical university in the Republic of Ireland.
The visit included a meeting with Professor Albert Leung, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at RCSI, during which both parties discussed opportunities for academic and research collaboration and explored prospects for developing partnerships in the fields of medical and dental education. The discussions also focused on the exchange of academic, educational, and training experiences between the two institutions.
The visit further included a tour of the Faculty of Dentistry, where Professor Hamdan was introduced to its advanced educational and training facilities. He also visited the National Clinical and Surgical Training Centre of Ireland, as well as a specialized training and research center dedicated to robotic surgery, where he gained insight into the latest technologies and best practices used in medical and surgical training.
Professor Ahmad Hamdan emphasized the importance of the visit in promoting international cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise. He noted that such collaborations contribute to the development of academic and training programs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University and support the University’s ongoing efforts to advance medical and dental education in accordance with the highest international standards.
