Unveiling the memorial of the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, the founder of Al-Ahliyya Amman University.

In memory of the late founder of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, Mr. Abdel Karim Al-Kabariti, Chairman of the Trustees Board at the University, sponsored the Ceremony of the memorial unveiling for the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani. The ceremony was attended by the governor of Al-Balqa - Mr. Saleh Al-Shoshan, the Civil Defense Director of Al-Balqa Governorate, the cultural attaché of Kuwait - Prof. Mohammed Al-Thuafairi, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani - Chairman of Directors’ Board, the deceased family, Prof. Sadeq Hamed - the University President, and a group of academic dignitaries, and guests. The ceremony was started with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, then Ms. Inas Al-Hourani - the daughter of the late and the Director of Public and International Relations Department at the University - delivered her speech on behalf of the deceased's family, in which she spoke about the late as gave a summary of the memorial and its symbolic significance, combined a drawing of the late and a brief about him. The memorial was designed and sculpted by the Artist Shafe’ Al- Sibrani. Then the University president - Prof. Sadeq Hamed - spoke about the virtues of the late and his leadership to establish Al-Ahliyya Amman University, followed by a speech of his Excellency - Mr. Al-Kabariti - about this event which commemorates the good spirit of the late, mentioning the suffering of the Palestinian people, the memory of Nakbah, and praising his achievements during the march of his life that deserve all appreciation. The audience moved then headed by the event sponsor to the memorial which located next to the University gate, where Mr. Al-Kabariti, and Dr. Maher Al-Hourani unveiled the memorial.
