Under the Patronage of Prof. Sari Hamdan, AAU Celebrates the Second Day of the 32nd Cohort Graduation Ceremony for the First Semester 2024-2025
Under the patronage of Prof. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the university celebrated the second day of the graduation ceremony for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025 for the 32nd cohort. The ceremony was held at the Arena Theater, honoring graduates from the faculties of Pharmacy, Allied Medical Sciences, Nursing, Information Technology, Architecture and Design, and Engineering. The event was attended by Prof. Ahmed Hamdan, Vice President of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry; Prof. Hadeel Al-Yaseen, Advisor to the President; Dr. Eyad Shaaban, Assistant to the President for Accreditation, Quality, and Planning Affairs; deans of the faculties, faculty members, administrative staff, and a large gathering of families and guests.
The ceremony commenced with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Quran delivered by Adam Al-Hadidi, a student from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Atiyat, Dean of Student Affairs, delivered the university’s official speech. He welcomed the patron of the ceremony, attendees, guests, graduates, and their families. In his speech, he stated:
“Today, we gather for the second day of the graduation ceremonies for the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025 to celebrate an outstanding group of graduates from the Faculties of Engineering, Pharmacy, Information Technology, Nursing, Architecture and Design, and Allied Medical Sciences. These graduates have been equipped with knowledge and skills at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, established over thirty-five years ago through the vision and determination of the late Dr. Ahmad Al-Hourani, who aspired to create a qualitative leap in higher education.”
He added:
“Today, Al-Ahliyya Amman University stands as a distinguished academic institution that has earned trust, respect, and recognition both locally and internationally. This has been made possible through the insightful leadership and continuous support of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Prof. Sari Hamdan, University President, along with the dedication of all faculty and staff members. Our graduates’ achievements have further strengthened the university’s reputation.”
He highlighted some of the university’s key achievements:
• Ranked 2nd locally and 16th in the Arab world by the Association of Arab Universities (2024).
• Ranked 28th in the Times Higher Education Arab Universities Rankings (2025), excelling in business and economics (1st locally, 401-500 globally) and information technology (2nd locally, 401-500 globally).
• In the field of Health and Medical Sciences, the university ranked 3rd locally among private universities and 601-800 globally, covering Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Medical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, and Agricultural Technology.
• Ranked 41st in the Arab world by Webometrics (2025) and achieved an impressive 43rd place in the QS Arab Region Rankings (2025).
Professor Mustafa Al Atiyyat also announced new programs to meet market demands:

Professor Mustafa Al Atiyyat addressed the graduates, saying:
“Dear graduates, you have earned the right to celebrate this joyous occasion with your families, who spared no effort or sacrifice to see you succeed. Congratulations on your graduation, and best wishes for continued success in your professional careers.”
He concluded by reaffirming the university’s unwavering support for His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, expressing pride in His Majesty’s firm stance on the Palestinian cause and other Arab issues, reflecting the will of all Jordanians.
“May God grant us success in serving our beloved university and country under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al-Hussein.”
Following the speech, our University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, honored Prof. Musleh Abu Al-Hajj as the Best Researcher among the scientific faculties.
Graduate student Siwar Bassam Al-Bqour, from the Faculty of Pharmacy with distinction, delivered the valedictory speech on behalf of the graduates:
“From Al-Ahliyya Amman University, we declare: what happiness to belong to this place where every heart inclines with love. Praise be to God, by whose grace all good deeds are completed. By His favor, I stand here today as a proud graduate.”
She expressed heartfelt thanks to the university family, singling out President Prof. Sari Hamdan, faculty deans, and faculty and administrative staff—especially her professors in the Faculty of Pharmacy—for their unwavering support and guidance.
She reflected on the bittersweet feelings of graduation, stating:
“This is not the end but the beginning of a new journey as we look forward to a future filled with hope and determination to be a nation of positive change.” She dedicated her graduation to her parents, family, and all who supported her throughout her academic journey. She also congratulated her fellow graduates and their families on their achievements.
Prof. Ahmed Hamdan, Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, read the official graduation declaration, confirming that the graduates had fulfilled the requirements for their respective degrees and were eligible to receive their certificates.
The ceremony was beautifully presented by student Mohammad Ali Mohammad Al-Faouri from the Faculty of Information Technology, Department of Networks and Cybersecurity, whose words added an emotional and inspiring touch to the event.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Sari Hamdan awarded the degrees to the graduates and presented honors and awards to outstanding students.
