Two Students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Win Third Place in the Sixth National Technological Festival

Two students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Sami Al-Habaiabeh and Sally Ghanem, won third place in the Sixth National Technological Festival which took place at Mutah University. The award was granted for their graduation project on renewable energy and water entitled “DC-to-DC Boost Converter Controlled by FPGA”. The students qualified for the final phase based on their project, which is currently the only research work worldwide which removes partial harmonics (destructive to the public network) resulting from the electronic circuits that increase the output voltage of the solar cells connected to the public network through a digital automatic controller and computer connection, making it a smart network using FPGA technique.
