Training lecture entitled “Victims of Torture”

Within the extracurricular activities organized by the Faculty of Arts, the Departments of Psychology and Special Education held a training workshop entitled “Victims of Torture” presented by CVT Organization in Hourani Centre. The lecture reviewed the laws relating to human rights and the importance of psychological care for the victims of torture. The lecture focused on psychological strategies used for post-traumatic disorder. Illustrative films on certain psychological conditions and how to deal with these conditions were presented. Brochures were also distributed to the audience and the students questions were answered. The training workshop was attended by faculty members and master’s and bachelor's degrees students of the Departments of Psychology and Special Education.
