The Women’s Health Center Organizes an Awareness Event Entitled “Your Strength Begins with Awareness… Get Checked to Protect Yourself” in Cooperation with the Social Committee at the Faculty of Nursing

As part of Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s efforts to promote health awareness and empower women to take care of their health and prevent diseases, the Women’s Health Center, in cooperation with the Social Committee at the Faculty of Nursing, organized an awareness event entitled “Your Strength Begins with Awareness… Get Checked to Protect Yourself.” The event was supervised by Dr. Enas Badr, with active participation from students of the Maternity Course at the Faculty of Nursing. Pharmacist Haneen Al-Momani from the Women’s Health Center, together with a group of medical students, delivered educational sessions highlighting the importance of early detection and its role in preventing breast cancer. Informative leaflets were distributed, and symbolic checkups were conducted to encourage students to prioritize their health. The activity aimed to spread a culture of health awareness and promote the concept of early prevention among female students and the university community, in conjunction with Pink October, dedicated to breast cancer awareness. The event reaffirmed the university’s mission to empower women health wise and socially, and to encourage them to adopt healthy lifestyles. At the conclusion, participants expressed appreciation for such educational initiatives that combine science, practice, and community engagement, emphasizing the importance of continuing similar events to enhance health awareness among students and the wider community.
