The Women Health Center organizes an awareness lecture under the title The Importance of Early Detection of Breast Cancer For Your Life”

The Women Health Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a health awareness lecture under the title The Importance of Early Detection of Breast Cancer for Your Life on Monday 7/11/2022. Dr. Dania Meshal, a specialist in diagnostic radiology at King Hussein Cancer Foundation, presented the lecture.During the lecture, Dr. Dania focused on women's health and the importance of early detection of breast cancer indicating its great impact on the treatment journey, significant advantage in limiting the spread of the disease and speed of recovery in addition to increasing the percent of saving lives. The lecture also showed graphs and charts displaying the number of breast cancer cases in Jordan compared to other types of cancer in the world, where all attendees showed highly positive interaction and feedback.Dr. Dania explained using pictures and drawings, all correct methods and necessary instructions to conduct a self-examination of women besides of conducting an x-ray imaging (mammogram) at health care centers. Moreover, she indicated the utmost prominence and great benefit of the imaging and self-examination in limiting the spread of the disease and its expansion as well as the speed of recovery. The Director of the Center, Prof. Eman Al-Nazli expressed her gratitude and great appreciation for the wonderful efforts made by Dr. Dania Meshaal, wishing more success for the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in providing such lectures and seminars. This lecture came as part of the educational, cultural and training activities and events that the center pursues throughout the academic year in its strategic plan targeting women of all age groups.
