The UNESCO Laurel Program for Women in Science honors Dr. Amani Al-Gharaibeh from Al-Ahliyya Amman University

The UNESCO Laurel for Women in Science honored in a ceremony held at the Lebanese Capital Beirut on 20/9/2016 five Arab women researchers in fields of science. The scientist women came from the Levant and Egypt. The activity which took place at the Higher Institute for Business, Clemenceau, Beirut was held under the patronage of Mrs. Randa Asi Berri, Deputy Chairperson of the National Commission for Lebanese Women, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the University of Venice. The best Arab women scientists were chosen from Jordan, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and were honored for their advanced research in various fields of science. Dr. Amani Al-Gharaibeh, Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Engineering Department / Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, won the fellowship at Jordan level.The Jordanian Engineers Association in Jordan organized an honoring ceremony for creative women engineers on Thursday 10/11/2016. Dr. Amani Al-Gharaibeh was honored at the ceremony for her excellence and for winning the UNESCO Laurel Award for Women in Science this year.
