The Two Candidates for the Parliamentary Elections, Alazuni and Abu Elba ,were Lecturing at Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted the two candidates for the Parliamentary Elections, the lawyer Andre Mourad Alazuni and Abla Abu Elba, to a lecture in which they talked about the upcoming parliamentary elections.Alazuni thanked the University Administration for hosting them and read Fatiha at the beginning of the lecture for the spirit of the founder of the Al-Ahliyya Amman University, the late Dr. Ahmad Hourani.The lawyer Alazuni underlined that Jordan is upcoming to a historical change. All citizens must participate to give their opinion in the form of next Parliament.They must not take a negative attitude through not participating in elections and adoption of speech criticism and defamation.Alazuni said that the phase needs a change in people and programs and opens wide prospects for young people to participate in the future making. We have to reform education because it is the basis for the reform of our society. Alazuni also mentioned the election law, the mechanism of voting and counting , calling for a halt to campaigns against law because it has become a reality.We have to work to make a genuine change to the laws towards modernization and development in line with our society by working from inside the Parliament . Abu Elba talked about the critical political phase that we are going through, the necessity to find a Parliament that is capable to help Jordan to overcome the Crises of the flaming region ,internal crises economically, socially and politically. Abu Elba called for the necessity to participate in the parliamentary elections and not to pay attention to the useless boycotting calls because they allow unqualified people to succeed. Abu Elba underlined that the voters must look into the election programs of the candidates and account them over every word .A number of University professors, students and the directors of departments attended the lecture.
