The Multimedia and Graphic Design Department Participates in Judging the Petra Forum: Brush of an Arab Artist

Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh from the Multimedia and Graphic Design Department participated as a member of the judging committee for the Petra Forum: Brush of an Arab Artist. Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh accompanied a delegation of 29 visual artists from 9 Arab countries during the forum, which took place from October 22 to October 27, 2024, in the city of Petra. The event was hosted by the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority and organized by the Injaz Community Development Association, in celebration of the Kingdom's commemoration of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein's constitutional powers. This forum aims to enhance and deepen the Jordanian cultural identity at the local, regional, and global levels, while also promoting Petra as a tourist destination. The forum concluded with the exhibition of the participants' works, attended by Acting Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners, Dr. Fatima Al-Hilalat, and the Commissioner for the Management of the Reserve and Tourism, Dr. Yazan Al-Muhadeen. Dr. Hanan Al-Sheikh's participation aligns with the department's mission and the faculty and university's vision to support creativity and innovation, as part of a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at enhancing community partnerships and exchanging expertise and knowledge.
