The Language and Speech Specialist, Deemah Zabalawy from the AAU delivered A Lecture in the Jaffa School
In line with the community services provided by the AAU’s Center of Hearing and Speech, the Language and Speech Specialist, Deema Zabalawy from the Department of Speech and Language delivered a lecture regarding speech and language facing people with disabilities, especially Down Syndrome. The specialist, who addressed in her lecture parents and teachers of Jaffa Elementary School, focused on the importance of the early detection, training and rehabilitation of hearing, language and speech disorders. Moreover, the lecturer acquainted parents with the services provided by the AAU’s Center for Hearing and Speech and referred some cases to the Center for training and follow up.
