The Jordanian Chemical Society holds a workshop in collaboration with Al-Ahliyya Amman University
The Jordanian Chemical Society, in cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Department of Training and Educational Supervision in the Ministry of Education of Al Qasaba Amman District, held a workshop for science teachers at Sukaina Bint Al Hussein Secondary School for Girls. A number of teachers attended the workshop from Al Shmeisani West Schools, Jabal Al Hussein Schools, Jabal Amman Schools and Al Lweibdeh Schools.
Lecturer Aya Khalaf, from the Department of Basic Sciences from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in cooperation with members of the Jordanian Chemical Society trained teachers to hold scientific festivals and activities at school levels, and highlighted the significance of taking the educational approach through scientific experiments and activities inside the classrooms, where besides they emphasized the basics of Public safety in festivals, laboratories and classroom activities. In addition, Lecturer Aya Khalaf presented and interpreted some of the "Environmental and Health-friendly Scientific Experiments”, in which they were practically applied with the participation of all teachers. The attending participants showed great interaction and involvement and were delighted by the outcomes of this productive workshop.
It is worth noting that this workshop is an introduction to several workshops held by the Jordanian Chemical Society in cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Ministry of Education in this field to cover the largest number of schools in the kingdom.
