The Faculty of Nursing at AAU Participates in the Jordan Breast Cancer Program Dialogue

The Women's Health Center at the Faculty of Nursing at AAU participated in the dialogue event organized by the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, held at the Fairmont Hotel in Amman. The center was represented by pharmacist Hanin Al-Momani, who presented the center's vision and its efforts to support women's health and raise awareness about cancer diseases. The event included an extensive dialogue that brought together stakeholders from various health and social sectors to discuss the challenges related to cancers affecting women in Jordan and to develop future plans to improve healthcare and awareness. The discussion focused on ways to collaborate between the Women's Health Center and the King Hussein Cancer Center, represented by the Jordan Breast Cancer Program, to enhance joint efforts in fighting women’s cancers. Pharmacist Hanin Al-Momani emphasized the importance of organizing comprehensive awareness campaigns that highlight the various types of cancers affecting women, with a focus on cervical cancer, which is one of the most preventable and detectable types through early screening. She also called for intensifying collaborative efforts between health and academic institutions to design innovative programs aimed at increasing awareness and encouraging women to undergo regular screenings, which would contribute to improving early diagnosis rates and reducing disease complications. This meeting is part of the Women's Health Center's vision to enhance community health, particularly women's health, through active participation in national and regional initiatives, and supporting efforts aimed at improving the quality of life for women and providing comprehensive healthcare.
