The Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in the National Day for Biomedical Engineering Organized by IEEE (EMBS)

The Faculty of Engineering participated in the National Day for Biomedical Engineering organized by IEEE (EMBS) at Yarmouk University on Thursday, November 14, 2024. Representing Al-Ahliyya Amman University were Engineer Bashar Nuzaih, Engineer Asmaa Al-Watari, and several students from the Biomedical Engineering Department. The event featured several lectures and discussion sessions covering various topics, including biomedical informatics, the role of biomedical engineers in the job market, radiotherapy, and genetic engineering. The event concluded with a competition for the best biomedical engineering project, in which the MedTech Minds team from Al-Ahliyya Amman University won first place. Their project, titled Diagnosis of Knee Osteoarthritis Using Bioimpedance & Deep Learning, was developed by students Mohammad Al-Sayed Ahmad, Bara’a Hassaniyah, and Fayhaa Al-Zu'bi under the supervision of Professor Jamal Al-Nabulsi.
