The Faculty of Educational Sciences Hosts Reception for New Students and Honors Academic and Athletic Achievers
The Faculty of Educational Sciences at AAU organized a reception for new students, alongside honoring a select group of outstanding academic and athletic students, on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Mohammad Mubaidien, Deputy Dean Dr. Anan Abu Mariam, Head of the Department of Physical and Health Education Dr. Hatim Al-Shullouh, Head of the Special Education Department Dr. Nazem Qandeel, and faculty members.
Prof. Dr. Mubaidien welcomed the new students and emphasized that university life is an important stage to be invested in both academic excellence and participation in extracurricular and voluntary activities, which help shape their personalities and enhance skills beneficial for their professional lives.
He also highlighted the Faculty's commitment to serving the students, assuring them that they are welcome to express their views, discuss problems, and address any issues related to their university life in an open and constructive manner that supports their growth.
The heads of the Physical Education and Special Education departments also emphasized the importance of following the academic advisory plan, attending lectures, and staying in contact with the academic advisors for guidance.
At the end of the event, the academically and athletically outstanding students were awarded certificates of appreciation, including:
• Dr. Saleh Hamad and student Saif Saqr for their excellence in scientific research, winning first place among 125 submitted papers at the Arab Student Creativity Forum.
• Outstanding students in the Special Education Department: Hana Sami Al-Adwi (1st year), Noora Maen Al-Majali (2nd year), Rama Mohammad Al-Ratima (3rd year), Aisha Ayman Al-Qasem (4th year).
• Outstanding students in the Department of Physical and Health Education: Hala Mohammad Attalah (1st year), Mustafa Khaled Salam (2nd year), Nader Ahmad Suleiman (3rd year), Farah Hazem Abu Jish (4th year).
• Athletic achievers: Yazan Mousa Al-Arab, Ahmad Abu Saudi, Zaid Mustafa Abdul Karim, Shahd Ali Kaloub, Abdullah Hamad, Osama Al-Masri, Omar Shaqra, Hassan Al-Masrawi.
