The Faculty of Educational Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in the first Conference of Jusoor (Current Challenges and Future Prospects) for Sign Language Interpreters

Under the patronage of the President of Al Yarmouk University, Prof. Islam Massad Al-Akram, the Department of Special Education from our Faculty of Educational Sciences represented by Dr. Anan Abu Mariam, participated with a group of students in the first Conference of “Jusoor” under the title “Current Challenges & Future Prospects” for Sign Language Interpreters. This Conference was organized by The First Jordanian Association for Sign Language Interpreters, which was hosted by Al-Yarmouk University in the city of Irbid on Thursday, 27/10/2022.Dr. Anan Abu Mariam presented a scientific research under the title Career Satisfaction among Sign Language Interpreters in Jordan and its Connection to Burnout and Experience Levels and was gratefully honored as the best scientific research paper presented in the Conference. Researchers from different Arab countries and various institutions, organizations, clubs and associations concerned with sign language participated in the conference as well.This participation came within the objectives of the Department of Special Education at our university of being active in regards to the participation in scientific research conferences. This comes with the aim of building continuous cooperation and communication between the department, related institutions and the community as well.
