The Faculty of Arts Celebrates World Arabic Language Day
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences hosted Jordanian storytellers Dr. Amani Suleiman and Mr. Nabil Abdel Karim in a discussion session titled "My Experience with Arabic," on the occasion of World Arabic Language Day. During the session, Nabil Abdel Karim focused on the art of creative writing, highlighting the ability of the Arabic language to embrace all forms of art thanks to its rich vocabulary and its capacity to express the finest emotions and meanings.
Dr. Amani Suleiman, in her presentation, addressed three main themes: My Experience in Learning Arabic, My Experience in Teaching Arabic, and The Arabic Language and Story Writing.
The event opened with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Hanan Ibrahim, who praised the Arabic language, emphasizing its status as a rich language that carries a profound cultural heritage spanning centuries. She affirmed that Arabic will remain a source of inspiration for cultural and artistic creativity and a means of renewal, proving itself as a living and dynamic language that embraces innovation.
