The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences hosts Prof. Mamoun Ahram

The Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, headed by Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani hosted Prof. Mamoun Ahram from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jordan on Wednesday 16/11/2022 to the university’s campus.During his lecture, Prof. Mamoun Ahram discussed the recent updates on his scientific research in the field of molecular cancer sciences on the effects of male hormones on breast cancers.Dr. Mazen Al-Salibi, Assistant Dean for the Center of Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research accompanied Prof. Mamoun Ahram on a tour to explore the center’s laboratories and machinery besides to proposing possible means of collaboration in scientific research. Prof. Al-Tanani added that the center’s laboratories could benefit researchers from different educational institutes to run various tests during their research processes and studies. Dr. Zeina Al-Alami, an associate professor in the field of Medical Laboratory Sciences stated that this lecture comes within a series of scientific lectures which will be held with the purpose of spreading awareness on certain topics, knowledge and expertise exchange through joint researches between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and numerous local and international universities. Prof. Mamoun Ahram is a Professor of Biochemistry from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Jordan. He holds a PhD degree in Cancer Sciences from Wayne State University, Detroit – Michigan. Prof. Ahram has published many research papers in Genetics, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Cell and Molecular Biology and Cancer Biology, where he also have a huge number of published scientific researches with a number of citations exceeding 3000 and an H-factor reaching 24.Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences presented the university’s shield of honor to Prof. Ahram for presenting this lecture and exchanging knowledge with the faculty members and students.
