The Faculty of Agricultural Technology at AAU Participates in the FAO and Arab Federation for Food Industries Seminar

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology at AAU, represented by its Dean, Dr. Subhieh Saifan, participated in the "Arab Bread Day" seminar organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Food Industries. The seminar was held in the capital, Amman, from October 7 to 8, 2024. Dr. Saifan delivered a scientific lecture titled "Sustainability in the Grain Industry," highlighting the latest modern technologies used in this vital sector. The presentation specifically addressed the role of artificial intelligence in enhancing grain production efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting sustainability in manufacturing processes. During her presentation, Dr. Saifan emphasized the importance of leveraging advanced technology to achieve sustainable food security in the Arab region. She pointed out that using artificial intelligence in the grain industry represents a pivotal step toward improving product quality, increasing productivity, and preserving natural resources. This participation is part of Al-Ahliyya Amman University's efforts to strengthen regional and international cooperation in the food industries sector, reaffirming its pioneering role in advancing the agricultural technology sector to meet community needs and achieve sustainable development goals.
