The Department of Film, Television and Theatrical Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design participates in the launch of the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature

Dr. Karim Fadel, Head of the Department of Film, Television and Theater Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, representing Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated in the activities of launching the Sultan Qaboos Award for Culture, Arts and Literature in its tenth edition, organized by the Sultan Qaboos Higher Center for Culture and Science, in the presence of Counselor Faisal Al-Hosani, Chargé d'Affaires at the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman, on Monday, 22 May 2023 at the Conference Palace at the Applied Sciences Private University. The award included three axes; the first in media and communication studies, the second in film directing, and the third in the field of novel. The conditions and criteria for participation in the award, the target groups, the value of the awards and their categories granted to the winners were reviewed at the opening of the ceremony. This participation comes within the framework of the policy of openness to institutions concerned with technical affairs at the local, Arab and international levels pursued by the university in order to achieve its vision, mission and core values, as well as being in the context of supporting the direction towards local and international accreditations.
