The Decisions of the AAU Emergency Committee

The AAU President Prof. Sari Hamdan decided, at the meeting of the Emergency Committee which was held on Sunday 15/3/22020, to start the distance learning process as of Monday 16/3/2020. The University prepared all the scientific content for its students using the latest programs. It also posted the instructions and steps of how to use the system for the faculty members and students via the University's website and social media for the purpose of facilitating the progress of the educational process. These programs provide the faculty member with the ability to give his/her lectures outside the University.During this meeting, it was emphasized that University’s students whether inside or outside Jordan should adhere to the dates of lectures in accordance with their academic schedule. An operation room was also established at Al- Hourani E-learning Center to receive inquiries and observations of students and faculty members around the clock.As for the Master’s theses defense, only the student was allowed to attend without accompanying audience. This is in line with the preventive measures taken by the University.During this meeting, Prof. Sari Hamdan emphasized that all departments and centers should establish a rotation program for all employees, taking into account the exclusion of female employees who have children in kindergarten or schools, in addition to preventing external visits to the University.As for the female students residing in the University's dormitory, they are allowed to shop from consumer corporations close to the University. AAU also takes all sterilization and protection measures for female students, such as providing sterilization materials and assigning an on duty doctor around the clock by the University's Medical Department, to ensure the safety of female students in the University’ dormitory.
