The Deanship of Student Affairs at AAU Organizes an Awareness Lecture on Lung Cancer for Students
As part of its efforts to promote health awareness, the Deanship of Student Affairs at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in collaboration with the Al-Ahliyya Amman Youth Against Cancer Club and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, organized an awareness lecture for university students titled "Lung Cancer" on Monday, December 9, 2024.
At the beginning of the lecture, Bana Saafin, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman Youth Against Cancer Club, welcomed the attendees and expressed her appreciation to those participating in this important awareness event for the students of the university.
For her part, Ms. Maram Al-Balawi, a representative from the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, emphasized the importance of awareness activities in raising the community's knowledge, particularly among young people, about the need for early detection of lung cancer. She noted that such events contribute effectively to enhancing disease prevention efforts and supporting national initiatives to combat cancer.
The students in attendance interacted with the lecture, which covered the latest updates on lung cancer, highlighting the importance of regular screenings for early detection and their impact on improving treatment chances and success.
