The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy meets with the evening students remotely
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, along with his Deputies, Heads of Departments, and the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs held the first meeting with evening students remotely on Saturday 3/12/2022 on the Microsoft Teams platform. This online meeting came in the presence of 41 students. At the beginning of the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani gave the welcoming speech and wished the students of the faculty a successful and fruitful academic year and to be filled with knowledge and earn various proficient skills in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Prof. Al-Tanani also highlighted the achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy in terms of the equipped laboratories, Faculty’s infrastructure and the establishment of the Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research Center (PDRC) along with the MA program in pharmaceutical sciences. Moreover, Prof. Mohammad motivated the students to complete their academic journey in pharmaceuticals sciences through following their BA degree with a MA degree. Prof. Al-Tanani interacted with the students as well within a Q&A session to answer their inquiries related to the academic programs and teaching process as well as any obstacles or problems they may face. The session was moderated by Dr. Naim Al-Shaalan, Head of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology.
By the beginning of this session, the students thanked the Faculty of Pharmacy and its Dean for their efforts in facilitating their educational journey. In addition, they kindly asked for specific basic materials to be offered in the second semester such as general chemistry, life sciences, mathematics and physics. They also asked the faculty’s administration to take into consideration the concurrency of courses when submitting the semester’s courses table to reduce conflicts among the major requirements, so that they can register the largest possible number of credit hours.
Most of the students also requested to organize and hold workshops for them in the evening, similar to the morning program students, in order to be counted as hours of pharmaceutical field training and community service hours. At the end of the meeting, the students expressed their gratitude and thanks to the dean of the faculty, his deputies, heads of department and the assistant dean for student affairs for their continuous cooperation with the students and for this meeting that reflects their great concern. The dean of faculty, Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani promised to take into account all of the students’ feedback, recommendations and to resolve their issues wherever they may arise.
