The Dean of Arts at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in the English Language Conference 2023

At the invitation of the Preparatory Committee for the English Language Conference in Jordan 2023: Enhancing English Language Teaching in Jordan: Promoting English for All in Jordan (2023 English Conference in Jordan: Fostering Equitable English Language Teaching in Jordan), held at the Modern American Schools in Amman from May 14 to 16, 2023, Prof. Dr. Ruba Batayneh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Director of the Language Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, participated as a keynote speaker with a lecture Entitled “Grow to Grow: Keys for Successful Teaching Practice”, in which she addressed the most prominent characteristics of the fixed mentality and growth mentality and the importance of the latter for the professional development of teachers, as well as the importance of the growth mentality in facing the challenges for the individual in general and the teacher in particular, and presented a set of success stories of great people who were not expected to achieve much without their diligence and perseverance. She also presented the most prominent strategies for developing the growth mindset and its importance in making an effective teacher-learner and engaging in professional development activities that reflect positively on students' personalities and academic achievement. The conference is organized by the University of North Georgia and Georgia State University in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy and the University of Jordan.
