The conclusion of the events of the 5th award of the late Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani for reciting and mastering the Holy Quran of Jordanian university students
Under the auspices of the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, and in the presence of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Mustafa Al-Attiyah, the 5th award of the late Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani for reciting and mastering the Holy Quran for students of Jordanian universities was concluded was concluded today. The award was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University with the participation of 22 Jordanian universities.This competition aims to increase the interest in the Holy Qur'an among university students in terms of recitation, intonation, memorizing, adherence, approach, and behavior, in addition to deepening and consolidating faith values in Muslim youth and in memory of the late Dr. Ahmed Al-Hourani, who was a pioneer of private university work in Jordan and the Arab world.Neutral jury committees were formed to oversee the award's activities in its fifth year, with the male student jury formed by Dr. Abdul Hamid Al Kurdi, General Supervisor of the Award/ Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and Dr. Mu'tasim Allah Dabash/University of Applied Sciences, while the female student jury was formed by Dr. Asma al-Omari/Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Dr. Najwa Qaraqish.In conclusion, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan presented the University's Memorial Shield to the members of the jury in recognition of their efforts towards the success of the award's activities and directing them in the best form with the utmost integrity and transparency, in addition to thanking all Jordanian universities from the north to the south of the Kingdom for responding to the invitation of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and participating in the recital competition of Jordanian universities.The students who won the top three places in the competition were also honored, with Aweys Khalil Al-Daghmain/Al-Ahliyya Amman University winning the first place, Alamin Adam Abdul Karim/Moata University coming in second place, and Salim Mohammed Malik/Middle East University in third place.As for the female students’ competition, Alama Juliana/University of Applied Sciences was able to win the first place, Alaa Omar Al Khawaja/Balqa Applied University came in second place, and Asmaa Bint Hamad bin Nasser/ Isra University in third place.It is worth mentioning that more than 45 students representing the following Jordanian universities participated in this year's award: Philadelphia University, Ajloun National University, Hashemite University, Al-Balqa Applied University, Princess Sumaya University of Technology, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Yarmouk University, Jadara University, Amman Arab University, Moata University, German-Jordanian University, Isra University, American University of Madaba, University of Applied Sciences, Al-Hussein Technical University, Zarqa University, Al Al-Bayt University, Al-Ahliyya Irbid University, University of Petra, Middle East University, Arab Open University and Al-Zaytouna University.
